Addiction by Ayako's Spring 2012 'Sand Castle' Collection continues to fuel my obsession for this brand.

Eye Shadow from left to right: Mariage, Nouvelle Lune, Sand Martin, Tiny Shell, Midnight Drive (1.2g) and retail for 2,100 yen ($25.34).

Addiction By Ayako Eye Shadows are AMAZING, and these new shadows are no exception. At first, I wasn't going to get Midnight drive, since I have a million pastel aqua/green shadows, but after playing with it at the counter, Midnight Drive's grey undertones soon had me in hyper drive. Realizing I had nothing like it in my collection... Midnight Drive had to be MINE! So, just like Pokemon, I had to catch 'em all :)

Blush in Brilliant Princess (3.9g) and retail for 2,940 yen ($35.48).

I thought Brilliant Princess would be a gorgeous highlight, since I thought it would be too light and shimmery as blush, but no...I was wrong, it's a beautiful blush. Brilliant Princess gives a stunning peachy champagne glow to the cheeks.

Lipgloss in Sentimental (5.5g) 2,625 yen ($31.68), Cheek Stick in Sensually (3.8g) 2,940 yen ($35.48), Lipsticks in Poker Face and Lady of the Lake (3.8g) 2,940 yen ($35.48) .

The Addiction lipglosses leave a light non sticky texture on the lips. A nice alternative on those inferno hot humid day's where stickier glosses can feel a bit suffocating. The Cheek Sticks (next to the eye shadows) are one on my favorite products in the entire Addiction cosmetic line. These multifunctional lovelies are the Ginsu knives of makeup. They slice, they dice, they can be used as an eye shadow, blush, lipstick, and highlight. Love, love , love Addiction By Ayako Cheek Sticks...yes, I do :) Finally, onto the lipsticks! The lipsticks, regardless of their finish, are highly pigmented, moisturizing, and long lasting. They feel like velvet on the lips.

  3. Hi, I found my way to your blog through Dain, of ARS Aromatica, who just introducted me to Addiction eyeshadows. I have fallen in lust with her swatches of Concrete Jungle and Midnight Oasis, and now I'm on the hunt for swatches of Out of Africa, Safari Mode, Missa, Star Sirius, Crow, Neverland, and... err.. really, whatever swatches I can find. tee hee! What are your personal favourites?

I was wondering what skin tone you have in "MAC language", so I can better estimate how the colours will look on me. I see that you use NW20 and 25 concealers. I'm NC 20/25, by the way.

Though I've read two posts only, I know that I'm going to enjoy your blog! :)

Wow, I'm going to have to get back to you on my personal favs, since I love all my children equally :) but crow is definitely one of them.

      I'm a NC25-30 in mac.

I hope you'll continue to enjoy my posts :)

    2. oh, one more thing about my skin tone. I have both yellow and pink undertones, but I lean a bit more yellow. I border on neutral. The red hair makes me look a lot darker then I am.

    3. Thanks for writing back, and for the extra details :)
I'm happy that you're near me in skin tone, which is a mixed blessing because it'll be easier to: a) decide on colours, and b) expand my wishlist/shrink my wallet!

I look forward to your post on your favourites! :)
I'm not a fan of glitter. I prefer mattes and am branching out to satin/pearl/complex sheen finishes. The Addiction website has brief descriptions of their e/s finishes, but I'm nervous about getting something I haven't seen/swatched myself. How would you describe the Addiction metallics (ME)? Do they have an intense shine or are they more subtle? Does Crow have any glitter?

So many questions! Sorry about that. I'm getting carried away. :)
