The Secret Of Happiness Is To Find A Congenial Polish! O.P.I Congeniality Is My Middle Name Nail Lacquer
Congeniality Is My Middle Name is a GORGEOUS deep, Magenta-berry-red, loaded with hot pink and purple microshimmers. These shimmers give the semi-jelly polish a dazzling violet duochrome sparkle. I'm totally smitten with the brilliance of this shade, and I love the way it looks against my skin tone (NC30). Definitely a must-wear lacquer for the Holiday seasons.

Today, I got a package from my best friend Alex. Yay for Alex, he's the best!
Had to peel my way through the first layer of beauty samples from all my online purchases.
For my birthday (November 4th by the way), Alex got me a Nintendo 3DS Xl and the Pokemon Y game. Now I really "Gotta Catch 'Em All"! Also, I'm a big fan of Black Lagoon, so he threw in his copy. Thank you Alex! Don't lie, I know you read this :P
And finally, the part you've been waiting for...the makeup!

Totally Toffee is a warm, chocolate-brown with a shiny creme finish. The formula is lovely (although, it's darker on the nails than it appears in the bottle) and opaque after two coats.
I love the rich color of Totally Toffee, and it's a perfect shade for Fall!

Shu Uemura's Anti-Oxi Skin Refining Cleansing Oil is my Autumn makeup remover of choice. During the transition of seasons, my complexion can become temperamental, and look tired and dull. After using up all the THREE Gentle Cleansing Oil Samples, I was feeling nostalgic, and went back to my beloved Shu. Admist trying different oil cleansers, I (as well as my skin) must have forgotten why I always use this magical emerald green bottle during Fall; because, after just one use, I could see, AND feel, the difference in my skin. My Complexion was exhibiting the four R's: revitalized, refined, radiant, and rehydrated. All I can say/write is that I will NEVER be unfaithful again! During the Fall (or for any occasion for that matter), if you find your skin needing a little pick me up, I highly recommend trying Shu Uemura's Anti-Oxi Skin Refining Cleansing Oil.
Like me, do you rotate your facial cleansers based on the season?

Dior is one of my favorite high end cosmetic brands. With every seasonal release, I feel the color spectrum in each collection always hit the mark.
Released as part of the Mystic Metallics collection, the 3 Couleurs Smoky Eye Palette in 381 Smoky Blue, creates a mesmerizing peacock blue smokey eye. I'm obsessed with these type of murky eye shadow shades.
I'm not sure if 381 Smoky Blue was released internationally, but I'm sure one of you lovely will let me know ;)
The 3 Couleurs Smoky Eye Palette in 381 Smoky Blue is/was limited edition and retails for ¥6090 ($62.52).
So you can see these eye shadows in action, I've included two looks I wore using the 381 Smoky Blue palette. As usual, I've also swatched some of the other products used for color reference.

So glad Justine was able to aid me in obtaining all the vernis nail enamels From Dior's Mystic Metallics Collection. Cosmetics are expensive in Japan (along with everything else). But, it's even more painful to pay the marked up prices on foreign brands, especially when knowing their retail prices in the states...it's criminal!
Destin is a shimmery, grayed, dusty lavender with a tinge of taupe. I'm infatuated with this shade, and always get compliments whenever I wear it. My only gripe with the polish is that, once it's dry, the finish is a little dull. However, that minor bump in the road is resolved with a top coat.
What do you think of Destin?

Last night, I got a job offer for Sunday morning, ergo I wasn't able to swatch the THREE Holiday Coffret today. My next day off is Wednesday, so I'll have the swatches up that evening. I dyed my hair last night, and here is the outcome.
This time around, I chose L'Oreal's Feria 3D Color in Amethyst.
The end result is an ash brown with a slight berry tinge. In addition to forgetting to change my camera's setting, and the room's lighting, my hair color is very distorted from what it looks like in person. You can kinda of see the actual color on the lower portion of my hair.

Sorry for the atrocious finger swatches, but I was soaking wet (someone didn't check weather.com before leaving her apartment this morning), alone, holding a bunch of shopping bags, and trying to take pictures at a congested THREE counter in Isetan Shinjuku on a Friday night
I picked up THREE's Winter Stardust Holiday Coffret, and I have to say, this Coffret is a MUST get! Trust me, you won't be sorry!! If the weather permits, I'll post proper swatches this Sunday :)
What holiday sets are you getting this year?
Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.
Bath & Body Works White Tea and Ginger Shower Gel: one of my favorite bbw fragrances. I have one more bottle of this shower gel left, and once it's gone, I'll be repurchasing more.
Estee Lauder Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion: I have a bone to pick with Estee Lauder! But, that rant will have to wait for another post. I LOVED the entire Soft Clean line, and the Silky Hydrating Lotion was PERFECT for dry skin. I would repurchase, but alas, the line has been discontinued.
Chi Silk Infusion Silk Reconstructing Complex: Silk Infusion leaves my hair soft, manageable, and shiny. I mix this with whatever leave-in conditioner I'm using at the moment, applying it to the lower half of my hair, and blow dry. When I leave my hair curly, I also mix this with Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner. My curly a defined, frizz-free, and luscious! Will also repurchase!
Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Hydrofuge Mascara: this mascara was just okay. Useless I want to give it another go, I don't think I'll repurchase.
Lush Lip Scrub: This was a gift from my friend Rie, was my first introducion to Lush. I wasn't keen on the bubblegum flavor, but I did a great job at exfoliating my lips. I've already repurchased this product, except in the mint flavor.
Colgate Maxfresh Toothpaste: the only toothpaste I'll ever use. I never thought I'd say this about a toothpaste, but I don't like the new packaging. I'm not sure if this tube was defective, but after time, the seam started to come undone.
Shiseido Integrate Nail Polish Remover: this is a decent remover, the only reason I keep buying it, is because it's the only larger size available at my local store.
Delon Premium Cotton Rounds: I use these cotton rounds to remove my nail polish. I get them in bulk at Costco, so I'll repurchase once I'm done with the box.
Honorable Mentions:
Dior Duo Express Instant Eye Makeup Remover: a good eye makeup remover, but I love my Shu oil cleansers, so I won't be purchasing a full size.
THREE Gentle Cleansing Oil: this cleaning oil works in the same fashion as Shu Uemura's cleansing oils. Unlike Shu's, THREE's Gentle Cleansing Oil requires a little more product to fully remove all traces of makeup. I really enjoyed using this product, but it seems the THREE cleanser lacked that "little something extra" my skin gets from the Shu cleanser. But, I did like this product enough to give it another go, and purchase a full size in the future.
THREE Balancing Foam: a great foaming cleanser! It left my normal to dry skin feeling/looking hydrated, flawless, and radiant. I'll be purchase a full size in the future.
THREE Gentle Purifying Foam: I couldn't notice any difference between the Gentle Purifying Foam cleanser and the Balancing Foam. My skin loved them both, and I would purchase this cleanser as well, but I haven't seen it at the counter.
THREE Balance UV Protector: a great UV protector that quickly sinks into the skin. I will be purchasing a full size of this product in the future.
THREE Balance Emulsion: another great care product from THREE! A lovely, lightweight Moisturizer that I will be purchasing when Summer rolls around.
THREE Foot & Leg Oil AC: I wasn't sold on this oil treatment. The oil took too long to absorb into the skin, so I had to be careful not to lean against the furniture. Also, the oil bleed into my socks, almost killing me as I slipped while walking on my wooden floors.
What did you use up in October?
