If You Don't Have It. Fake It! Lavshuca LavFake Red Fake 01

 Cute Packaging, no!

Lavshuca's LavFake (limited edition) in Red Fake 01 is a multitasking stain that can be used on the eyes, cheeks and lips. I'm a sucker for all things red, so I had to buy this.

LavFake has a velvety dry, silicone consistency, yet still creamy in texture. It's long-lasting on the eyes, cheeks and lips; creasing slights on the eyes and, in this case, I don't mind) and lacking moisture in the lips department.

Red Fake 01 is a pretty rose-red, that gives you a sheer (yet buildable), semi-matte flush. I found LavFake performed best when applied with my phalanges.

Wearing LavFake Red Fake 01 on my lids, cheeks and lips. Sorry for being a little out of focus.

Yes, I cut my hair. I'm not a stranger to short hair (I've had it shorter than this), but it's been a while and I feel odd.

In a rush to get out the door, I forgot to take a picture of me looking down to give you a better view of Red Fake 01 on my lids...Oops.

Overall, I enjoy Lavshuca's LavFake in Red Fake 01, but I wouldn't say it's a must have for our beauty arsenal.

Ch Ch Ch Ch Ch Cherry Berry!

Revlon's nail enamel in Cherry Berry (280) was my polish of choice for V-day.

I applied two coats of Cherry Berry.

Cherry Berry is a magenta-based, cherry-red with a creme finish. Not a terribly unique color, but the polish is insanely pigmented (basically opaque in one coat) glossy, and wears beautifully for five days.

What did you wear on your nails for Valentine's Day?

One Can Bathe On Almonds Alone...L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil

February's (and march's since I purchased the 16.9 fl oz bottle) body wash is L'Occitane's Almond Shower Oil. I've been using the almond shower oil (as well as all the other products from the almond line) for many, many, many years, and it's my favorite scent amongst all of L'Occitane's collections. Almond Shower Oil is a mixture of sweet almonds and marzipan (If that makes sense, given that marzipan is generally an almond paste. However, there is a difference between the two, and I've rambled for too long, but I hope you understand).
So many great memories are tied into this heavenly fragrance. The scent always makes me feel nostalgic and I find myself staying in the shower longer than needed.
When the almond shower oil comes into contact with water, it emulsifies into a luxurious milky lather; leaving my tight, dry, itchy Winter skin feeling nourished, soothed, amazingly soft and yummy.

Have you tired any products from the Almond Collection?

Thank My Lucky Stars!

Just got back from my Valentine's day dinner and, before I start my "war paint" removing ritual, here are some looks I wore last week using my beloved, Bonne Etoile.

The weather in Tokyo has been painfully cold. We had heavy snow last Saturday, and it's snowing again today.

Took this picture months ago. Finally able to post and delete it from my 'products purchased folder'.

I'm not into star patterns, but they did make the palettes in the Mystic Metallics Collection more enticing.

Galaxie Express 992

Galaxie 992 is a plummed-cranberry, with rose-red and purple shimmers.

I'm head-over-heels in love with this color. However, as much as I love the color, I'm equally disappointed with the polish's finish. Once dry, I found the finish to be rather dull. Regardless of which top coat I used (Butter London, Dior, Guerlain), within a matter of moments, galaxie would ingurgitate all shine, giving the polish a lackluster appearance.

What were your thoughts on Galaxie?

voCE's Spring & Summer Collection booklet

With the aid of this holy omnibus of cosmetic releases for Spring/Summer, I'm been making my little (massive) list of Spring beauty wants. Here's my two cents on the collections.

I want everything! However, everything is permanent, so it's not on the top of my Spring purchase list...must prioritize ;)

I love Anna Sui and that Rose Cheek Color in 601 is calling my name. Although I like Aube, I'm passing on what their offering...maybe.

That bareMinerals blush look promising, the Benefique lipsticks are lovely, and unfortunately, Bobbi Brown isn't inspiring me.

Chanel, I want all of you! I love the color scheme of this collection.

As much as I love Chicca, the sales assistants at Isetan Shinjuku leave a lot to be desired! They're really giving the RMK counter at Mitsukoshi Ginza a run for their money on worst customer service! Not sure I want to give them my hard earned yen! Cle de Peau, I'll have to play with you at the counter.

I love Clarins, and both of those blushes have me foaming at the mouth...must have! Passing on Clinique.

Skipping right past Coffret D'Or.

I really like what Cosme Decorte AQ MW has to offer this spring, especially the eyeshadow quads in 027 & 028, and the lipsticks in OR272 and RD434.

Dior is one of my favorite brands, but I have to rein myself in and narrow down my wants. Both blushes (of course), the 234 quint, the mono shadows look inviting, and I need to swatch the lipsticks.

Turning a blind eye on Elegance and Esprique.

Estee Lauder, I have to see you in person. Givenchy, you're one of my muses, and I want everything! I already played with the entire collection at the counter and it is AMAZING!

Still on the fence with Armani, and the only thing I want from my beloved Guerlain is the eye shadow duo and quad.

Helena Rubinstein, you know I'm a fan and those lipsticks are calling my name. May pass on Jill Stuart.

Ipsa and Lancome haven't drawn me in.

Besides the new shiny items from Spring, I see Laura Mercier Japan is re-releasing the eyeshadow palette and eyeliner (which I already own) from 2013's Arabesque collection. I'm 50/50 on the Laduree palettes, but the cream blushes and lip crayons are fantastic!

I'm sorry Lunasol, but it's a no this season. Last Springs quads are still sitting pretty in their boxes untouched. I will be featuring them once Spring rolls around.

I already Purchased this collection when it released in the states, my bf just hasn't mailed it out to me yet.

Maquillage is tempting me with that eyeshadow palette in BL231, and it's a big shimmy shake past Mary Quant.

Yes to all things Nars, not over the moon for Paul and Joe this season, and undecided about RMK at the moment.

Putting the blinders on for Shiseido, but loving Sonia Rykiel, Especially the Glossy Eyes and the nail polish in 03.

Can I get an amen and a yes please for Suqqu and THREE!

Tom Ford Beauty Japan has re-released 2012's Fall collection for Spring (with the exception of the lip & cheek stain in tainted love and the eye creme color in plum absolute). Perfectly fine with me as I own the collection and will be featuring looks from it this Spring.

I want both of the polishes from YSL Spring!
