After uploading the photos, I realized that I didn't take a picture of the product in it's packaging. So, this is why the shadow looks somewhat rough...I'm such a bad blogger :(

One of the things I love about living in Tokyo are all the random mini cosmetic shops that are sprinkled throughout the JR/Metro Stations and underground. Last Tuesday, on my way home from a job, I spotted a Minipla (Minipla is a chain of mini station boutiques) and decided to take a peek at whatever possible treasures I may find :D

Let me just say that I'm very proud of myself! I only walked out with ONE eyeshadow. This is a huge accomplishment for me, since the word "moderation" isn't in my vocabulary. Also, I'm quirky about always buying things in pairs; OMG! Could this be? Could this really mean that I'm on the road to cosmetic OCD recovery?...probably not :P

Anyway, I picked up the Eye Color C eyeshadow pan in BR4 from the Japanese drugstore brand Ettusais.

BR4: is a Shimmery soft champagne gold with fine gold glitter.

Japanese drugstore eye shadows can be a hit or miss for me. Some eye shadows are poorly pigmented and packed with a glittery sparkle that feels a bit too juvenile.

Ettusais was a happy medium; although, there were glittery sparkles, the pigmentation was great and the texture buttery smooth. The wear time was okay, I got about 6 hours (and that's with my beloved Nars smudge proof eyeshadow base).

My only complaint is that this eye shadows come in pan form (palette sold separately). These little homeless guys come with only 1.2g/.04oz, and retail for 840yen ($10.63). Can someone throw a sista a bone?...better yet, a lipgloss? :P

Overall, I did like the Eye Color C eyeshadow from Ettusais and I will be picking up the chocolate brown shadow in this line...Yes, my OCD is rapping at my chamber door!

Have you tried anything from Ettusais?

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

  1. I haven't seen this brand for ages! I've only used their pore care range of skincare, back in the day where I had crazy bad skin. Since the products didn't work I haven't used this brand since!

    1. Hi Kay,

This is the first Ettusais product that I've tired and it perform pretty good. Not sure if I'd try their skincare line. I'll probably buy this brown shadow of theirs and that will be pretty much it for Ettusais for me :)

The food is AMAZING here and the shopping is insane :)

If you ever come back, we need to hangout!
