I'm still sick but here is one of my personal gifts to myself, Rouge Noir. Chanel's Le Vernis Nail Colour in Rouge Noir was one of the first higher end nail polishes (many moons ago).

Rouge Noir was one of the few causalities in my nail polish collection to brake during my move to Japan. Since I owned (and still do) Revlon's vixen as well as a few other close dupes, so I decided not to replace Rouge Noir until I had finished one of those bottles in the similar shade.

But while I was at the Chanel counter, I couldn't resist temptation any longer and finally repurchased one of my all time favorite shades.

This nail polish is a dark chocolate almost black wine/blood red color, actually looks as if someone has bleed all over your nails. In one coat, Rouge Noir is a burgundy port wine color, but it only takes two coats to achieve a seductive deep chocolate cherry wine/red femme fatale shade.

Rouge Noir is sophisticed, alluring, mysterious, sexy and chic all rolled into one polish. Even though there are many similar shades available, there really isn't anything like the original. Rouge Noir retails for 3,045 yen in Japan.

Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time
