  1. Hahaha, Liz, I love that everything goes in threes in this post! First off, congrats on your third blogiversairy! Not sure what my absolute top three would be... Let's go with LiLash lash growing serum, Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Shalimar, and... maybe the Canmake Clear cream blushes, from more recent discoveries? Hope you're celebrating the occasion with some CAKE! :D

    1. Thank you for participating Monika :D I'm heard of Lilash before, and I've wanted to try their Librow, but never tried it. How well does the Lilash serum work? Shalimar is a beautiful lipstick and Canmake cream blushers are great!

  2. Happy birthday to your blog! Although I've only been following your blog for a few months, I've always loved it for the extremely neat swatches and great reviews of brands I'd otherwise never knew existed. In other words, Awesome!

My top 3 favorite beauty products, huh. The first one is easy: Shu Uemura Tint in Gelato! I love the texture, how comfortably it wears, and the superb color selection. The second is TheBalm's Mary-Lou Manizer: cute packaging, tons of product, pretty glowy stuff = win. The third is 3 Concept Eyes (it has a 3 in its name! How fitting for this post :p) Lip Lacquer: a bit runnier than the Tint in Gelatos but the colors are super fun. If you haven't heard of the brand (I don't think you have a tag of them yet ;) ) you should check them out!

Anyway, thanks for the giveaway (and for making this blog ;D)

Great favorites, I think it's cute that one of your products have a three in it's name. I'm familiar with the brand, but have yet to try it. Got to put it on my list. Any color recommendations?

  3. Oh wow, what an amazing giveaway! And of course, congrats on hitting the 3 year mark :D

I don't know how to narrow down to three favorite products, but I absolutely adore these three: Guerlain Iluminating & Mattifying pressed powder (discontinued, I have gone through about five and have only one left!); Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation, and Addiction Cheek Stick in Tea Rose.

  5. Happy Birthday to your blog! I am a silent fans here as I am crazy for Japanese brands (color makeup). And your makeup looks are so vibrant. Most important of all, I can see more of the less raved brands here, like Addiction.

My top 3 choice include, MAC for the blushes, highly affordable, crazy shade range and low price point. EXCIA for eye base, as it is easy to use, and the Chikuhodo Z4 blush brush, I have nothing to worry about the hair quality or bundling.

Great choices, but I can't say that I've tried the EXCIA eye base. Will have to look into it.

My faves are Addiction eyeshadow in 3AM for inner corner highlight because it's gorgeous! Then Missha's Signature BB cream as it has perfect finish for my dry and fairish skin, also goesn't leave a grey cast. Then maybe DHC cleansing oil, as it's gentle and effective, not too expensive.

  12. Congratulations! I've been following your blog now for 6 months via bloglovin and I just have to say that I love your swatches! The colors are very accurate and easy to see all the nuances in the various shades of blush and eyeshadow. I'm from America so it is difficult to find good swatches of Japanese cosmetics, so thank you very much for all your hard work! I have to say I blame you for many a Suqqu and Addiction purchase ^.^

Anyway, on to my top three favorites, which are also all HG status. First favorite is the Burberry lip sheers: gorgeous neutral colors and so comfortable on the lips, they have just enough pigment to make your lips look natural and lovely. Second favorite are the Suqqu eyeshadows: so soft and pigmented, they blend like a dream. I only wish they would keep some of the gorgeous holiday limited editions around! Third favorite is the Estee Lauder doublewear concealer: beautiful, lightweight, high coverage, non-drying and never creases, its the only concealer I've ever repurchased.

  16. Happy happy B-day to your awesome creation Liz :) Thank you for always keeping us up to date with the best stuff in beauty, and especially for all the awesome swatches and looks you provide for those of us who have to buy Japanese cosmetics sight unseen. I just don't know how we would do it without you! I am an eyeshadow girl (duh, I am here hahaha!) and coincidentally, my favourite e/s palette of all time has to be THREE's own Star Guitar. Two other beauty products I can't live without are my beloved P50 lotion (skincare counts too, right? junkie here!) and mascara. Any decent one will do, but I just can't leave the house without it. Right now I am loving the one by Geisha Ink!

  17. Congrats! I have to say, I can't picture myself living or visiting in Japan and having these brands all around, so tempting! Somday I'll get the chance to visit the country and try Three, RMK, etc. Meanwhile, I enjoy the makeup I managed to collect so far. If I had to pick 3 items that I love the most, I'd pick Tom Ford lipsticks (e.g. Pink Dusk), It Cosmetics Tightline mascara (the coats are not clumpy nor too noticeable, which I love for my no-makeup makeup look in a daily basis) and Kryolan supracolor in 576 (this salmon colour concealer manages to swipe away my purple/blue undereye, it's amazing!). I think with just these 3 items I'm good to go!

  23. Mazel tov on three years Liz. I say this calls for the purchase of a fabulous leather good the likes of which I lust after from Balenciaga! I am fairly new to your blog and so enjoy seeing how you wear you latest acquisition as well as all the interesting posts about the different tastes and foods you are experiencing as an Ex-Pat! If I were to pick my three favorites I would say:
    1) Chanel Soleil Tan Fluide - mix with lotion and I seem to look well.. more fresh (vs. past my expiration date)
    2) Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette (I am seeing a pattern here)...
    3) Chanel Illusion D'Ombre in New Moon - so pretty on it's own but plays well with others and can pull more copper or purple depending on how you use it!
