If you've even lived in, or traveled to, Tokyo during August or September, you'll know how relentlessly cruel the heat and humidity are. The heat and humidity levels really don't begin to drop until mid October. However, the temperature seemed to cool the other day...so, I cracked open and wore some of my new Fall products. With the maintained humidity levels between 70-80%, and the rising temperature throughout the day, I was a profusely sweaty, Autumnal mess! So, until the humidity drops, Fall makeup looks will have to wait.

Also, I have loads of folders on my laptop of all the Summer collections/products/looks that I never got around to posting; I thought about deleting them and recreating the looks next Summer. But, that would be a shame...and I'm still using many of the products because it's still warm and humid over here. Besides, it has to be Summer somewhere in the world, right?! So, bear with me as Ibombard the blog with an onslaught of belated Summer.

From left to right: Illusion D'Ombre 95 Mirage, Stylo Yeux Waterproof 911 Ambre Dore, Le Blush Creme De Chanel 79 Cheeky, Levres Scintilantes Glossimer 188 Sunny.

Generally, I don't go to crazy for Summer Collections, but this past Summer was definitely an exception. I found all the pieces in the Reflects D'Ete de Chanel Collection perfectly suitable for Summer.

  1. I live in a climate (Mobile, AL) where heat and humidity are a factor for at least 7 months out of the year. Seasonal color change boundaries blur all the time for me. Gorgeous colors!

    1. Hi Lulubelle! The humidity this year has been insane! both my hair and makeup have suffered. Fall is my favorite season for makeup (and everything else), but I haven't been able to get into rich, autumnal colors, because I'm a sweaty, hot mess :(

    1. Hi Ana,

Sorry for being terribly late in replying :(

Thank you for taking the time to stroll around my little world. To be honest, all I use are sponge tip applicators for powder products, and synthetic brushes for creams and liquid. My secret to clean swatches is patience :P
