Here is the continuation of my swatching rampage from last Thursday: Since Sonia Rykiel is taking a bow from the cosmetic sales floor, it's urgent that I upload these swatches to help those of you, interested in the brand, make a better decision on what items you would like to pick up. The only items I didn't swatch were the Glowing Powder Blushers, the Perfect Eyeshadow, the Eyeshadow Duos (I will be swatching my personal collection), and the Foundations (after almost two hours at the counter swatching, I was a little delirious at that point, and I forgot).

In the following images, you may (or not) notice a difference between arms; that's because, Hiroko, my girl at the Sonia Rykiel counter, jumped in on the action, and helped swatch the products on her own arm. I think we made a great team ;)

Also, I'm a lefty, so, I always swatch from left to right, but I guess Hiroko is a righty, because her swatches are right to left.

Hope you find the swatches useful. In the upcoming weeks, I will be posting more on the brand, until then, have a great Sunday!

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

  1. The lipsticks esp. the lip lacquer is gorgeous.

  2. Great swatches! I think I would go and try out the lip lacquers. It has lots of great colors.

    1. The colors, texture and performance of the lacquers are phenomenal Emmy.

  3. :) thank you thank you, Liz! You have no idea how helpful these swatches are. *peers into wallet*

    1. You're welcome my dearest. I've put all other releases on hold, buying backups of everything from the brand.

  4. Liz, I would like to ask for your recommendation, if I can buy from this brand before it is removed, what are the 3 most attractive product you will recommend? And what's your opinion towards the current foundation offers from the brand?

    1. Wow, that's tough. Normally, I would recommend buying everything, but if you have to chose three, I'd recommend the powdered blushers, the eyeshadow quads, and any of the lipstick formulas.

The Fresh Gel and Creamy Touch foundations are my favs. What type of skin do you have manman?

    2. My face is dry dry dry like a desert, but it will produce oil later on because of this dryness.

      And a little sensitive too.

For the current es or blush, any recommended colors for a yellow toned, dark skin woman like me (a little bit less dark than you, so more obviously yellow toned than you)

    3. My lighting is rubbish, so, I appear darker than I am. I'm NC30 in MAC, not sure if that's dark for you?

For very dry skin, I recommend the Perfect Makeup Cream or the Gel Foundation.

      Also I recommend es palettes in 02, 04, 05, 06 and powder blushers in 01, 03 and 04.

Hope this helps, and sorry for being extremely fashionably late in my reply...sorry!

  5. Long-time lurker, first-time commenter :) That Perfect Eyeshadow 08 quad looks SO tempting - did you happen to swatch the quads, Liz? Any idea how the 08 quad in particular swatches? I'm wondering how pigmented that hot pink is...

    1. What took you so long, lol :P

I own all the quads, I just haven't had a day off or good weather to take pictures. Swatches of the quads coming soon Amy :D

    2. LOL, I'll definitely speak up more! Truly, I love your blog, your swatches are amazing and your looks are beautiful and so inspiring. :) Thank you so much for these Sonia Rykiel posts - I actually have two of the mousse eyeshadows and really love them, very complex and sophisticated - I get lots of compliments when I wear them. The Sublime Rouges and lip lacquers are so tempting, too! Thanks for your hard work! :)

    3. Hey Amy, Sorry for taking forever to reply. But, work these last two months have hit me like a freight train. I do hope you speak up more often :)

Sounds silly, but I'm really taking the lost of the counter pretty hard. I've been buying double, triples of everything from SR, especially the base products (for personal and professional use).

Gosh, the mousse eyeshadow are lovely!

Thank you for enjoying the blog, and hope to speak to you soon :D
