Les Merveilleuses Laduree Holiday Collection

With Spring nipping at Winter's heels, you  maybe wondering...what I'm doing posting Les Merveilleuses Laduree's 2012 Holiday Collection now?! Well with work, life, Aki's mother's hospitalizations two months ago, this collection was left behind...forgotten at the bottom of a bag...that is until this week :)

This post is pretty photo heavy, so I've broken it into two parts. First up, the products, and then, the looks wore this week.

Eye Color Palette 101 (¥4,200/$54.40).

Eye Color Palette 101.

Eye Color Palette 102 (¥4,200/$54.40).

Eye Color Palette 102.

Both eye shadow palettes are to die for! The colors aren't terribly unique, but lovely just the same.

Cheek Color Mini Collection 02 & 03 (¥5,775/$62.44).

I passed on the Cheek Color Mini Collection in 01, but had to have 02 and 03. Both cream blushes have beautiful golden shimmers that really makes them sparkle.

At a glace, you can't see the golden shimmers, but it's in there!

 Mini Face Color Rose Laduree 101 & 102 (¥3,360/$36.33).

Yup, I went ahead, took the plunge, and got the Face Color Rose Laduree blushers. Frankly, I only got them for the cute mini boxes, but to my surprise, I like them. Guess I better start seasoning my hat :P

From left to right: Cheek Color Mini Collection 03, 02, Mini Face Color Rose Laduree 102, 101.

Rouge Mini Collection 01 & 02 (¥5,775/$62.44).

The Rouge Minis give the lips a pretty stain effect, but can be built up. I didn't take photos of the Limited Edition Rouges because the packaging is the same as the permanent collection.

From left to right: Rouge Mini Collection 01, 02, Rouge 101, 102.

My gift with purchase. The candle does look a bit juvenile, but it smells yummy!!

I'll be posting the looks later...

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

The Color of Midtown Magic! China Glaze Nail Lacquer

Today's (technically yesterday since it's past midnight) nail lacquer is China Glaze's Midtown Magic. Can I tell you how GLORIOUS this polish is?! Wait, I guess I just did :P

The best I could do to capture the beautiful shimmers of Midtown Magic was this semi blurred photo.

Midtown Magic is a blackened, purplish-brown with red, green, copper, and, maybe orange shimmers.

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

Running on Empty: February Empties!

Redken Smooth Lock Shampoo & Smooth Down Conditioner: The successor to the discontinued Smooth Down. I was worried when I heard that Redken was replacing the Smooth Down line, but Smooth Lock proved to be just as great. There are differences in the ingredients, one being Smooth Down contained macadamia oil, whereas Smooth Lock has almond oil. Will always repurchase!

Tamanohada Liquid 000 Lavender: This lavender hand wash smells lovely and felt moisturizing. Containing 540 ml, this bottle lasted six months. I would repurchase, but with Spring around the corner, I prefer more of a citrus scent during the warmer seasons.

Bath & Body Works Black Raspberry Vanilla Shower Gel: Surprisingly, I enjoyed this fragrance and I would repurchase. Black Raspberry Vanilla kind of smell like grape bubble yum...yes, sounds gross, but it works.

MAC Mineralize Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist: This product was just...blah! I truly disliked the scent, and couldn't wait to be rid of it!!

St.Ives Warming Scrub: An old winter favorite, Warming Scrub warms up when it comes into contact with water, leaving my skin clean, soft, and feeling fresh. The exfoliating beads are nonabrasive, but still work efficiently at removing dull, dead skin cells. Also, the scent is AMAZING! My only complaint is that I wish the warming sensation would last longer. Other than that, I enjoy using this scrub during Winter, and will always repurchase.

Mac Brush Cleanser: Great for spot cleaning, and will always repurchase.

Esteemia Cuticle Away: I've tried many cuticle removers, and I really enjoy using Cuticle Away...Wow, I sound like a commercial :P Cuticle Away works great at removing the excess dead skin gently and quickly. Already have two backups :)

Honorable mentions:

Frederic Fekkai All-Day Hair Plump: This is hair heaven in a bottle!! I've purchased this product in the past and LOVE it! Too bad it's been off the market for some time :( If anyone knows or can find this product for me...I can make it worth your while ;)

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser: Although this cleanser is meant for normal to combination skin types, my normal to dry skin really enjoyed it. My skin felt clean, looked radiant, and most importantly didn't feel tight. I would purchase this product.

Kate Somerville Daily Deflector Moisturizer: Adsorbs quickly, leaving my skin smooth and moisturized. Daily Deflector Moisturizer contains an SPF of 20, so I'd probably only use it during Winter when I don't require much coverage, definitely NOT during summer.

Clarins Eye Contour Gel: This product was huge fail for me. I don't have sensitive skin, and only after one use, I woke up to red bumps under my eyes. After such lovely result, I didn't use it again. Repurchase...what do you think?

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Premiere Intense Moisture and Renewal Regeneration Eye Cream: I have dry lids, and I loved this eye cream! The skin around my eyes looks and felt amazing. Ceramide Premiere Intense Moisture and Renewal Regeneration Eye Cream my reveal my beloved Amore Pacific.

Bath & Body Works Wallflower Fragrance Bulb in Winter: I love, love, love, LOVE this scent and stock up on it every time it's released. Winter (along with a Yankee fragrance) is what my apartment smells like. A year round staple, and I adore it!!

Bath & Body Works Wallflower Fragrance Bulb in twisted Peppermint: I love the Twisted Peppermint Shower gel, so decided to give the wallflower a try. At fist, I found the scent too over powering, but it grew on me. Thank goodness, since I purchase a few :P

Have you tried any of these product? If so, let me know what you think of them.

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

And Lead Me into Temptation...Revlon's Nail Lacquer in 'Tempted'

Tempted is a radiant, dark fuchsia with silver, red, and hot pink shimmers. It's a shame that this was a limited edition polish, because it's simply beautiful!

 Indoors.

These photos don't do Tempted ANY justice. The shimmers really make the polish sparkle, and come to life.

In sunlight.

Hope you enjoyed this polish :D

Bath & Body Works' Shower Gel, 'P.S. I Love You

Ignore the dent! I accidentally dropped the bottle...butterfingers : (

First, I would like to apologize to anyone who's tried to view this post, before, I was able to correct it. I was working on this post late last night, and accidentally hit 'publish' as I passed out...sorry!

March's shower gel is P.S I Love You. The name of this shower gel makes me want to talk about the film with the same title starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler. On one of our movie nights, Aki picked P.S. I Love You, and needless to say, I sent the entire 120 minutes sobbing (fyi, the movie is 126 minutes long). Also, the film left me extremely depressed for the remainder of the evening, and I'm not a sensitive person. Heck, I love unhappily ever after endings :)

Anyway, back to the shower gel. BBW describes P.S. I Love You as "a modern, unforgettable fragrance that is inspired by the many beautiful ways to love and be loved". The key fragrance notes are: Sparkling Riesling, Golden Amber, Hypnotic Incense, and Bright Rose Petals This is my first time trying this shower gel, and I really like the scent. P.S I Love you is a stimulating floral, amber, musk, and incense blend that kinda smells like sweet tea to me, and you know I LOVE tea scents :D

What are you showering with this month? Also, if you've seen P.S I Love You, let me know what you thought of the film.

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

Classically Flawless, Flawlessly Classic! Le Metier de Beaute Classic Flawless Finish Concealer SPF 18 Swatches

This creamy concealer diffuses and brightens the undereye area, without tugging or looking cakey/crepey. Also, I love the fact that this product contains SPF, since the skin under the eyes is the most delicate.

From left to right: I, II, III, IV.

From left to right: V, VI, VII, VIII.

From left to right: X, XI, XII.

Once again, just like FACE atelier's Ultra Foundation #9 Toffee, I seem to have misplaced concealer IX. Do you see a pattern forming...I think I have a serial thief lurking about :P

Le Metier de Beaute Classic Flawless finish Concealer SPF 18 retails for $55.00( 2.3g/0.08oz).

What are some of your favorite concealers?

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.

Espresso Depresso! Tasty Related, Not Beauty Related

I can't believe it's been a whole four months since the last 'Tasty Related, Not Beauty Related' post...Oops!

While at my local grocers, I spotted Suntory's caffeinated coffee drink, and thought it would be a fun thing to try...will I ever learn? The answer is NO!

Espressoda tastes like coffee that's been sitting a pot for a week, and mixed with generic brand flat soda! The label reads "A twist of bold coffee and refreshing soda", but it's more twisted if you ask me :P

Have you ever tried carbonated coffee before?

Looking gorgeous one lipstick at a time.
