You Gotta See This...The Color To Watch O.P.I Nail Lacquer

absolutely fail at photographing the beauty of this polish.

Originally from the O.P.I Fall 2010 Swiss Collection, I've always felt The Color To Watch was better suited for spring.

Continuing to fail at capturing the color, I used four coats in the photo above.

A stunningly, unique color, The Color To Watch is a grayish-taupe based, murky lavender duochrome, with flashes of blue and a pinked-lilac, loaded with microscopic lilac pink, blue and silver shimmer.

The Color To Watch has a very sheer formula, but I believe this polish's translucency is part of its appeal. With a single coat, it can be used as a topper, metamorphosing whatever polish it's layered over. A second coat gives the nails a delicate, ethereal iridescence; whereas, I found the third coat enhances the blue in the polish, and showcases the shade in its full opaque glory...can you tell I really like this color?!

Also, The Color To Watch has a fairly good wear time of three-to-four days. Not bad, since I find thinner formulas tend to chip a whole lot faster on me.

If you're attracted to this color, I'm sure you can find it on ebay or amazon.

Out Of Sheer Brilliance... Suqqu Sheer Glow Liquid

The only good thing about the rainy season is, that I'm able to stretch out the use of all my spring purchases.

I view highlighters as the proverbial "cherry" to my blush. Whatever form they come in, I can't get enough of them! I totally feel in love with the soft, illuminating effect of Suqqu's Sheer Glow Liquid.

I've used the Sheer Glow Liquid as a primer, mixed with my foundation and as a highlighter; and I love the translucent, radiant results that all three give my complexion.

The lilac-pink tint of this highlighting primer helps to correct unevenness, and counteracts dullness; this beautiful tone gives my skin a beautiful brightened, fresh, feminine, understated rosy glow. In Addition, the Sheer Glow Liquid has an SPF of 25 PA++.

Suqqu's Sheer Glow Liquid retailed for 6,480 yen and contains 25ml.

Bidi-bidi-bidi-bidi...

Special delivery from the good ol' U.S. OF A! I got my new laptop!

I'm not a techie person at all. Therefore, I asked my brother-in law to help me in picking out a new computer. He recommended I get a Mac, but I don't like Mac computers (yes, I know, boo hiss. Aki has one and I don't go near it). My last three laptops have all been ASUS, and I loved them; so, that's where my laptop loyalty lies. The two prerequisites I had were the laptop be an ASUS with a 15 inch screen minimum. Keeping those two request in mind, and knowing I have a blog, he chose the ASUS Zenbook Pro.

I love my new gizom (the touch screen is awesome!), but as the same time, it's giving me anxiety because I don't know how to use it :(  I may just end u throwing rocks at it.

As for Christine, she's one ctrl+alt+del away from moving on to the great ether. I still need to transfer all my pics and whatnots to HAL (my new laptop's name) before I take a sledge hammer, blowtorch, and chainsaw to her >:)

Cool As A Cucumber...

Now that the dreaded rainy season is underway (ushering in merciless muggy weather), consequently, I'll be hating my life, and my hair, from now until mid October.

Anyhow, I thought this Bath & boy Works 90's nostalgic scent, Cucumber Melon, would be a great shower gel to combat this disgusting humidity.

Cucumber Melon Shower Gel's Fragrance notes are:

Top Notes: Crisp Cucumber, Watery Honeydew.

Mid Notes: Summer Cantaloupe, Sparkling Grapefruit, Muguet.

Dry Notes: Sheer Woods, Soft Musk.

The smell of crisp cucumber and sweet melon and cantaloupe help invigorate my showers. I checked BBWs' website to see if Cucumber Melon was still sold, and I found it's marked as a "Flashback Fragrance" and marked down to $3.75...what a bargain!

In My Beautiful Balloon...Les Merveilleuses de Laduree Beaute 4th Anniversary Mini Face Color Rose Laduree

On November 21st, 1783, in Paris, France, the first untethered hot air balloon flight took place at the Bois de Boulogne. The printed design of the exterior packaging of Les Merveilleuses de Laduree Beaute Spring 2016 collection draws inspiration from the Montgolfier brothers' balloons.

Based on the sightly packaging, and the two new limited edition shades, I couldn't pass on the brand's 4th anniversary mini Face Color Rose blushers. I wasn't kin on the packaging of the 1st anni; so, I sold it on ebay. I believe I have most, if not all, of the mini rose petal blushes that have been released.

From left to right: 105, 106.

105 Jeanne: a bright, sweet pea pink.

106 Camille: a dusty, rosewood pink-mauve.

I've found a dense, stiff, slightly coarse brush like Laduree's Cheek, Foundation or Powder brush, or Guerlain's meteorites brush work best at picking up, blending out, and providing the most optimal pigmentation. Hence, using a sponge tip applicator (as I do) to swatch these petal blushes will deposit next to nill color payoff.

I have so many post in cue, but as soon as I'm somewhat caught up, I'd like to do a feature on all the mini Face Color Rose Laduree blushes I own.

You're The Inspiration...Revlon 520 Muse Nail Enamel

Hello ladies and jellyspoons! Today, I bring to you Revlon's nail enamel in 520 Muse. I got this "atypical" darling, several years ago, while vacationing in Santa Monica.

Curses, I should have filed my ring and pinky nails down more to match the newly broken nails of my index and middle finger.

I'd describe 520 Muse as an avocado dip that hasn't been unfridgerated for three hours. Not the most appealing color description, but I think Muse is a beautiful shade. I'm always attracted to these kinds of drab, muted, dirty, murky shades of polishes.

Revlon polishes are my favorite among the drugstore beauty brands. Muse's formula, application, pigmentation, and wear time (about 5 to 6 days, depending on how savage I'm with my hands) all score perfect tens!

Some may find shades like muse downright ugly, but I believe a duck can also be as beautiful as a swan.
