Allure Of The Eyes...Bella Diamonds Allure Blonde Colored Contacts

While I was tidying up my makeup area, I found the Bella Diamonds Colored Contacts I purchased some time ago (and totally forgot about...oops).

This is my first time trying the brand and, out of the four series of lenses offered, I liked the look of the Diamonds the most.

I don't wear colored contacts often, but when I do, I gravitate towards hazel and brown contacts. Thinking they would be a pretty hazel shade, I chose Allure Blonde.

With a base curve of 8.6 and 14.5 diameter, the Bella Diamonds are extremely comfortable, with a barely-there-feel. The only downside to these contacts is that my vision would get cloudy at times. Also, I wish the pupil holes were a little smaller.

On my eyes, Allure Blonde leans more green than hazel. A little disappointing, but pretty nevertheless.

Here's a fun fact I learns from reading the Bella Diamond Colored Contacts box: they also protect your peepers from UV rays. Neat, no?

A Passage To India...Bausch & Lomb India Soflens Natural Colors

Bausch & Lomb's Soflens Natural Colors in India were a big ol' disappointment. I understand "colors look different online than in person, and colored contact results vary, based on the individuals eye color." But, shouldn't the product have a smidgen of likeness to its visual image?

The Soflens Natural Colors are monthly colored-contacts, with a 8.7 base curve and 14.0 Diameter. Comfortable to wear, they enlarge the eyes while still looking natural. Though the lens do cloud my vision from time to time.

"Softlens Natural Colors Lenses are created for all eye colors, especially dark eyes." Did you read that, "especially dark eyes." Based on the image, I was expecting a color somewhere within the warm, chestnut brown spectrum. Yet, the effect I got is NOWHERE near resembling the photo provided by the company. I don't know what color you would call this? A warmish, muddy brown? Although, in person you can't really notice the color, I'm not mad at it, it's just not what I envisioned.

I'll use the lens until they've expired, but I'm not sure I'll be repurchasing.

On first Contact...Adore Bi-tone Hazel Colored Contacts

My affinity for Adore Bi-tone colored lenses all began with Hazel.

It's been a while since I've worn Hazel, and it feels good to be reunited.

Of the three colors I've tired, my favorites are hazel, honey, with yellow coming in third.

I'm not into blue or green colored contacts, so the only color left to try is the grey. Maybe I'll try them during the fall or winter.

And It Was All Yellow...Adore Bi-tone Yellow Colored Contacts

Again, another damaged box spoiling all hopes of nice exterior packaging photographs.

Adore's Bi-tone colored contacts are my favorite! They really feel like nothing on the eyes, and they give the most "natural" look. Normally, I rotate between the shades hazel and honey, but this time, I decided to try the yellow shade. If you would like to read my post on Honey, please go here.

The yellow Bi-tone contacts turn my cow brown eyes a hazelish-green (but more on the green spectrum). I think the color looks pretty, but it's not a shade I'm used to; nothing a few couple of wears can't fix. Anyway, I asked my assistant for his opinion (a.k.a., Aki) for his opinion, and he said they look natural and realistic.

Au naturel.

Adore Bi-tone Yellow.

The Adore Bi-tone's are 3-month contact lens, and retail for $35.95. I used to by them from lensmarketplace.com, who have changed to visionmarketplace.com.

Don't Contact Us! Miche Bloomin' Olive Brown 1-Day Colored Contacts

I purchased the Miche Bloomin' Olive Brown 1-Day Colored Contacts last May (May 12th to be exact), and totally forgot about them; thankfully, they're good until 10/2019.

This is my first time trying these contacts, and I'm not a fan...at all. Actually, I'd like to take my dislike for them even further and say, I think I hate them.

Miche Bloomin' Olive Brown Colored Contact Lenses.

First, the contacts were flaccid and wouldn't hold their shape; thus, making them a pain in the arse to put in. I even checked the expiration date to make sure they were still good. The pattern on the contacts is unattractive, unflattering, and no where near the vicinity of looking "natural." Also, the center of the contacts are so large that they give my eyes that dilated "fish-eye" look I dread. To add insult to injury, they blurred my vision and don't even fit well. As I wore them, I could feel them shifting all over the place. The whole day I had a complex of my eyes looking like some deranged, google-eyed craft project from hell. But, I keep them in, so I could give you a through piece of my mind.

I didn't think these Miche Bloomin' Colored Contacts wouldn't work for me, and ordered 30 pieces. Now, I don't know what to do with the remaining 28...stocking stuffers maybe?!

Miche Bloomin' 1-Day Colored Contacts have a diameter of 14.0 mm, base curve of 8.60 mm, and a moisture content of 38%. Available in 16 pieces (1,760 yen) and 30 pieces (4,190) and can be purchased with or without a prescription (but, I don't recommend them!).

Making Eye Contact...Adore Bi-Tone Honey Colored Contact Lenses

Funny, as I'm writing this entry, I got a comment in my last post asking about the lenses I was wearing; well unknown, this one's for you ;)

I'm perfectly content with my cow brown eyes. However, colored-contacts are a fun way for me to enhance my makeup looks. I've tired several colored-contact brands, and by far, the most comfortable and "natural" looking have been Adore's Bi-Toned Colored Contact Lenses. These lenses don't blur my vision, slide all over the place, cause any redness or excessive dryness; when I'm wearing them, I really don't feel them at all.

Adore Bi-Tone are 3-month lenses. I don't wear them everyday, and I'm very vigilant about cleaning them and changing their solution; so, I can get an extra month of wear out of them. The Bi-Tones have a 8.6 Base Curve and a 14.0 Diameter. I don't need to wear contacts for corrective purposes; so, I get them in 0.00 plan-O-vision.

Natural eye color.

Honey is a favorite during the Fall and Winter. I love the amberish-hazel coloring of Honey; it brightens my eyes, and amplifies all the makeup shades I relish wearing during both seasons.

Adore Bi-Toned Honey.

Adore Bi-Tone contact lenses retail for 29.75 euro and I get them from lensmarketplace.com. I've been shopping there for years, and I've never had a problem (knock on wood). lensmarketplace.com ships worldwide and offer two forms of shipping (standard and express). I've always gotten my order within 9-10 days; therefore I've never had to opt for express shipping.

If anyone can recommend a great pair of amber/honey contacts, as well as their favorite colored contacts, please leave your message in the comments. I'm always up to try new shades and brands.

For Your Eyes Only

Halloween is only 6 days away, and as I've stated before, I love, love, LOVE Halloween!!!

Today, I received the contact lens that I ordered for my Halloween costume. These contact lens were purchased from honeycolor.com (a friend of mine referred me to this site). At the moment, I really can't comment on honeycolor.com; on account of not having tried the lenses yet, but one thing I can say is that the shipping time was descent. Since I couldn't decide on which pair to order, I did what I normally do, if in doubt...buy everything :)

The lens I purchased were the Neo Celeb and the Dueba Sassy, both in brown. Honeycolor.com did included (for free) this cute contact lens cases in the order.
